Jahnel-Kestermann, has been one of the leading enterprises in technology for the drive technique.
Already in 1970 we delivered the propeller drives for the ship "Humber River".

Technical Features: 

propeller gears ranging from 3,000 kW to 30,000 kW

  • single-in / single-out
  • twin-in / single out
  • with and without multiplate clutches
  • secondary or primary PTO
  • PTI / PTH

The gearbox size mainly depends on the available engine center distance.

Some examples for the engine center distance : 
1000, 1120, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2250 [mm]
 
Other dimensions as well as size of multi disc clutches  results from input power and gearbox ratio.
