Their experiences are the result of decades of close co-operation with the famous shipyards and engineering companies as well the criticism by the great international dredging-ship companies. Jahnel-Kestermann in co-operation with TBU developed cutter-head gearboxes which resulted in the current Hard-Rock-Cutter-Suction Dredgers of highest power. These gearboxes, designed for extreme load, have integrated axial-thrust bearings for absorption of the axial load from the cutter head and have a weight up to 210.000 kgs. |
